The radio world
has always been made up of the "big guys" and the "little guys",
but today the big guys have ballooned to proportions that would
have been unimaginable a dec ade
ago. When the "rule of 7's" was the rule, who would have thought
a day would come when a single company would own 1,000 stations
or more, and as many as 8 in a market !
While these
changes are exciting, these are trying times for the little guys
(and gals), the single market and single station operators. And
with the megasauruses in a feeding frenzy, many brokers simply don't
have time to handle "little deals."
Gene Kauffman
knows there is no such thing as a "little deal". That's why he has
created this site to help fellow station owner/operators and prospective
owners make contact through the quick and efficient medium of the
Internet.
If you think
of how stations have been bought and sold over the years, you can
easily see how the Internet is the perfect means of bringing buyers
and sellers together.
Depending on
how much information the seller wishes to provide, you will be able
to get everything from financials to virtual tours of facility.
We don't want to deprive you of the adventure of getting in the
car and visiting a new station and a new town. But, now without
leaving the office or den, buyers can weed out inappropriate properties,
and sellers can be spared the time consuming experience of catering
to "tire kickers."
And since our
broker friends are busy with the mega-deals, they presumably won't
mind the money saving features of this site, another important consideration
here on the front lines. So have a look around
