Who are you?
We were working, active radio broadcasters for over 35 years. In May of 1999 we sold our combo in Iowa. (on buysellradio online), and established our offices in Florida.

How much is a listing? (back to top)
It depends on which category you post in. Stations for sale ads are priced according to your selling price and whether your station is a stand alone or combo. Stations for sale stay listed until sold. Other listings such as connections and job listings are priced by the month. For a rate card click here.

May I show pictures? (back to top)
Yes, the Internet allows a full presentation of your station, if you choose to do so. We can show photographs and give great detail on your property and market. We let you post up to 6 photographs of your station.

Will my listing be confidential? (back to top)
We provide a blind Email box, so you can be confident your listing will remain as secure as possible. Realistically, it is difficult to keep information that a station is for sale completely confidential. The small number of stations and the huge network of radio folks makes secrecy very rare. We can, however give you completely blind Email security and your Email address is never revealed to those requesting information.

Do I pay a commission after the station sells? (back to top)
No commission ever. (unless you choose to have buysellradio online handle all aspects of your sale) People who have sold stations would call us and want to know how much they owe for commission. Our answer is nothing! You pay for you listing and it stays listed until its sold. When you consider that brokers get a 6% TO 7% commission, you can calculate how much you'll save!

Brokers tell me we will get all kinds of unqualified buyers. (back to top)
We love this comment. How does you broker qualify a caller? They ask questions. We feel that, you as the station owner or broadcaster can qualify a buyer better than anyone else. Ask some questions, talk a little radio. I would rather screen a dozen prospects than the 2 or 3 that someone else, who doesn't know my business sends me. The number of people responding to each new listing is astounding. Many of the people checking this site are first time buyers, many have money, many have none, but they all have dreams.

How soon will I get calls or Emails about my listing? (back to top)
We have posted listings and had "hits" relating to the station is as little as 20 minutes!

How do I know if my station will sell? (back to top)
Like any other commodity, if your price is too high, the facility not adequate, the equipment not in good shape, then it will take longer to find a buyer. We won't interfere with the wording of your listing, unless it is obviously misleading. Can we guarantee your station will sell? No more than an ad in a trade magazine or even a broker, we can't guarantee it will sell, that is up to you and the conditions we outlined above. We have refused listings we felt were not appropriate.

Do I have to write my own ad? (back to top)
No, unless you prefer to write it yourself. We will spend some time via phone or Email then write an ad for your approval before we post it.

How fast can you get my listing posted? (back to top)
Usually within 24 hours, sometimes within hours. If you pay by credit card we can post the same day.

What kind of response should I expect? (back to top)
Response is usually very quick. It depends on your listing. If you post in wanted to buy and are restricting your search to one or two states, it will take longer to get a response. Stations for sale will generate the most response, especially combo's, FM's and those which appear to be priced fairly.

What information must I provide? (back to top)
Be ready to have buyers ask a lot of questions that they will need for an informed offer. We provide you with a written checklist of items to prepare for buyers.
